Ali Shaath, head of the Palestinian National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip, said the committee is committed to implementing the Egyptian plan for Gaza, which has been approved by the Arab League, endorsed by Islamic countries, and welcomed by the European Union.

According to Al Qahera News, Shaath said the committee has received initial financial support from donor countries, with a two-year budget allocated to carry out its mandate in line with the United Nations Security Council decision.

Shaath stressed that a key priority is the establishment of a World Bank–managed fund dedicated to Gaza’s reconstruction and humanitarian relief, describing the move as a significant step toward supporting the committee’s work. He added that several regional countries have pledged to provide substantial and tangible financial assistance.

According to Shaath, the committee has developed a clear operational plan based on the Egyptian framework, which sets out defined mechanisms for humanitarian relief, infrastructure rehabilitation, and housing reconstruction.

He noted that the scale of destruction in Gaza is severe, with more than 85 percent of residential housing fully destroyed as a result of a war that lasted more than two years, underscoring the urgent need for coordinated international support to address the humanitarian and reconstruction challenges facing the territory.
