The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,395, with 171,287 people injured since the beginning of the Israeli military offensive on October 7, 2023, according to medical sources in Gaza.
Medical officials said that Gaza hospitals received four bodies and seven injured people over the past 48 hours. The fatalities included three victims whose bodies were recovered from rubble and one newly reported death. Rescue teams continue to face major difficulties reaching victims trapped under debris or lying in streets due to ongoing destruction and access constraints.
Since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, the number of Palestinians killed has increased to 425, while injuries during the same period have reached 1,206. Medical authorities also confirmed that 688 bodies have been recovered since the truce began.
Health officials warned that the actual toll is likely higher, as many victims remain unaccounted for under collapsed buildings, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach several affected areas.
