Foreign Ministers (FMs) of the Group of Seven (G7) countries called on both parties to the conflict in Sudan to "immediately cease hostilities."
After their meeting in Japan, G7 FMs urged all parties to immediately end the violence, calm tensions and restore civilian rule in Sudan.
It is worth mentioning that, the escalation of violence in Sudan has pushed the issue to G7's agenda, whose foreign ministers met in the Japanese resort of Karuizawa.
Moreover, UN Security Council have expressed grave concern over the military clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, according to an official UN statement.
In addition, UNSC members urged the parties to immediately stop hostilities and restore calm, calling on all parties to return to the dialogue table to resolve the current crisis in Sudan.
