France, US to Strengthen Coordination on Middle East Policy

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Baro has called on his American counterpart, Marco Rubio, to enhance coordination between Paris and Washington regarding the situations in Lebanon and Syria. He emphasized France's eagerness to contribute to the success of the next steps in the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today, Tuesday, that this appeal was made during a phone call with Rubio, where they reviewed the historical relations between France and the United States.

The ministers discussed several international issues, praising the efforts of American diplomacy that led to the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages.

They also discussed the Ukrainian crisis, where France and the United States share the same objectives of achieving a fair and lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine.
