French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Sunday that his country will announce investments worth 109 billion euros ($112.5 billion) in artificial intelligence over the coming years during the Paris AI Summit, which opens tomorrow, Monday.
The summit will be held in the French capital with the participation of heads of state and government, heads of international organizations, executives of small and large companies, representatives of academic institutions and non-governmental organizations, artists and members of civil society.
US Vice President J.D. Vance will attend the summit, as will Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Qiuqing, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and a group of European and world leaders.
Some 100 countries are expected to participate in the summit, noting that Macron received a large group of heads and officials of major companies at the Elysee Palace in preparation for the conference.
