France, Egypt Discuss Enhancing Cooperation in AI Field

On the sides of the meeting of the Egyptian officials with French counterparts in Paris, the Minister of Communications Amr Talat and Marc Renard,  the Chairman of the France-Western and Central Africa Business Council of MEDEF, discussed bilateral cooperation focusing on exchanging experiences between the two countries in the field of telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The discussions focused on capacity-building activities like awareness-raising seminars, training, and the establishment of observatories and specialized industrial intelligence units in Egypt's governmental entities and private sector agencies.

It also shed the light on the strategic partnership between Egypt and France in the field of telecommunication technology, especially artificial intelligence, according to Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information technology.

In his address, Talaat revealed his country's keenness on using emerging technologies and developing its own technology and showcased investment opportunities to French Tech firms.

In the same spirit, Talat affirmed the importance of enhancing intra-regional trade and joint investment between Egypt and France to “reflect the great potential of both countries, emphasizing that there is consensus between the two governments on a large number of joint cooperation files.
