French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth €2 billion.
During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Macron stated that the aid package is designed to directly address the priority needs of the Ukrainian armed forces, according to the French newspaper Le Monde.
He explained that the package includes Milan anti-tank missiles, air defense systems, MICA missiles, Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems, armored vehicles, and various types of ammunition, including remotely controlled munitions.
On Thursday, Paris will host a summit of the so-called "Coalition of the Willing," a group of nations prepared to provide security guarantees for Ukraine.
The summit will focus on coordinating and forming a future security unit in Ukraine, as well as discussing security assurances for Kyiv.
