France Affirms Continued Support for Yemen

Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council member Tariq Saleh discussed with French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Karam Kamoun the latest developments in Yemen and the Houthi militias' continued obstruction of peace efforts.

Yemen TV reported that the meeting discussed developments in the region and their repercussions on the situation in Yemen, and condemned the Houthi arbitrary practices against relief workers and humanitarian organizations operating in the country.

On his part, Saleh praised France's positions on the Yemeni file, noting the importance of unifying international positions supporting legitimacy at various levels to confront the Houthi threat that threatens the security of Yemen, the region and maritime navigation.

In turn, French ambassador affirmed her country's firm position in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government, renewing Paris's keenness to find a comprehensive and just peace under the auspices of the United Nations in which all Yemenis participate.
