The Foreign Policy(FP) a US magazine, revealed that a state of anxiety grips the United States of America (USA) due to allegations of China's "infiltration" of US national security, due to the penetration of "Chinese supply chains" in controlling ores and minerals used in important defense industries.

In a report published by the magazine, the US military was deeply concerned that it would lose its technological and armaments superiority if the USA did not find other sources of these minerals away from the hands of China and its allies.

The US influential magazine pointed out that the USA

and other major powers depend on the minerals necessary to build and maintain weapons systems in a "more disturbing" way than other countries, led by China.

The FP added that the US military feels a threat to strategic plans that depend on defense industries, especially after the increase in tensions with China.

The Ukraine war showed the dangers of heavy dependence on another country, especially a non-ally in reference to Europe's dependence on Russian gas.

The magazine affirmed that lithium, cobalt, nickel, graphite, and other minerals are necessary for building electric car batteries, wind turbines, solar panels, and other clean energy technologies, which are materials that China exports mainly to America and Europe.
