The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates announced the formation of a task force within its consular sector to follow up on the conditions of Egyptian communities in the region amid ongoing military escalation.
The ministry said the task force has been set up to receive inquiries from Egyptian nationals and monitor developments affecting their safety. A WhatsApp contact line, 00201226858000, has been activated to handle questions related to the situation and well-being of Egyptian citizens.
The ministry added that the task force is in continuous contact with Egyptian diplomatic missions in the region to provide support to nationals when needed. Missions have also been instructed to republish and activate their emergency hotlines to respond to citizens’ inquiries.
The ministry urged Egyptian communities in the region to exercise caution and follow safety and security instructions issued by local authorities.
