Foreign Min. Launches Online Platform to Facilitate Return of Egyptians in Gaza

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the creation of a new electronic platform  to receive data from Egyptian citizens wishing to return from the Gaza Strip, quickly and effectively.

This comes within the framework of developing the ongoing efforts made by the Egyptian state to facilitate the return of Egyptian citizens and their families from the Gaza Strip to the homeland.

The Ministry stated that it had created a link to ensure that the registration mechanism is limited to Egyptians in Gaza.

The official spokesman for the Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid, said - in a press statement - that immediately upon receiving the data on this electronic link; detailed statements will be prepared in preparation for handing it over directly to those in charge of the Rafah border crossing from the Egyptian and Palestinian sides to facilitate their crossing from the Gaza Strip to Egyptian territory.

‎The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Egyptian citizens in the Gaza Strip to limit communication and registration channels to this new mechanism as the only means of returning to the homeland, and that any other means that some are talking about falls within the acts of fraud, deception, and exploitation of the difficult circumstances that the Gaza Strip is going through.

‏The Egyptian authorities affirmed their keenness to ensure the safe exit of Egyptian citizens and their families from the Gaza Strip to preserve their safety, in light of the continuing violent military actions taking place in the Gaza Strip.
