The total number of billionaires around the world dropped to 2,668 billionaires in 2022 from 2,755 billionaires. Forbes' thirty-sixth list of the world's richest people lost 329 people this year, marking the largest number since the 2009 financial crisis.
According to the classification of the magazine, the total wealth of the world's rich amounted to about $12.7 trillion in 2022, down from $13.1 trillion valued in the 2021 list.
