Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received on Saturday, Mr. Ahmed Moalim Faki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
Abdel Atty stressed the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Somalia, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and working to implement joint programs aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and achieving the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
He also pointed out to Egypt's keenness to support Somali efforts to achieve security and stability.
The two ministers agreed to build on the momentum witnessed in bilateral relations and to continue coordination within the framework of the joint ministerial committee to follow up on the outcomes of the tripartite summit held between Egypt, Somalia and Eritrea on October 10, 2024, and to build on the efforts of the leaders of the three countries in supporting the security and stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
