Badr Abdel Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriates, received a phone call on Friday from his Syrian counterpart Bassam Sabbagh.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in northern Syria, especially in Idlib and Aleppo.
Abdel Atty expressed concern about the ongoing developments and reiterated Egypt's supportive position towards Syria and its national institutions.
In addition, the Egyptian FM highlighted the importance of its role in achieving stability, combating terrorism, and extending the state's sovereignty, stability, independence, and territorial integrity.
