Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdel Aty received a phone call from his British counterpart, David Lamy.

Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Thursday that Minister Abdel Aty discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to strengthen them in the political, investment, and economic fields, and the importance of further developing and deepening them in various fields.

The call focused on developments in the Middle East, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip.

The official spokesperson added that the call also addressed developments in Sudan, where Minister Abdel Aty affirmed Egypt's support for Sudan, its security, stability, national institutions, and the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of its territory.

The two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in Sudan and efforts to restore stability and establish peace in the country.
