FM receives phone call from Algerian counterpart

Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, received a phone call from Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, to congratulate him on assuming his new position.

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, said that Dr. Abdel Aty appreciated this kind congratulation, stressing the fraternal relations between Egypt and Algeria, pointing out to the great importance that Egypt attaches to strengthening cooperation relations at various levels with Algeria.

On his part, Attaf stressed Algeria’s support and full solidarity with Egypt at various levels, expressing his aspiration for continued cooperation and close coordination between the two brotherly countries, and building on the solid and historical foundations that bring Egypt and Algeria together, whether in the bilateral framework or with regard to striving to strengthen joint Arab action, in addition to achieving common goals on the African scene.
