Dr. Badr Abdel Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that the African circle is one of the basic circles of Egyptian foreign policy, and there are directives from President Sisi to focus on advancing relations with brothers in African countries, especially the countries of direct and indirect geographic neighbourhood.
Abdel Atty added in an interview on Al Qahera News channel, on the sidelines of his visit to Chad: “The African Sahel region, led by Chad, is one of the important regions to which we pay all attention to further advance relations, especially with regard to the security of this region.”
"We have a responsibility to support these countries in combating terrorism," Abdel Atty said.
He pointed out to the great investment, commercial and economic opportunities, stressing that Egyptian companies, with their great experience, can contribute to the process of modernization and development in these countries.
