Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, received a Palestinian delegation headed by Hussein Al-Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, on Sunday to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

During the meeting, the Egyptian foreign minister reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering and long-standing support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He stressed the importance of advancing to the second phase of the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, underlining the need to sustain diplomatic efforts aimed at stabilizing the situation and alleviating humanitarian suffering.

Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of ensuring the continued flow of humanitarian and relief aid into Gaza, while working to create favorable conditions for progress toward a just and comprehensive political settlement of the Palestinian cause. He highlighted that any future settlement must be grounded in international legitimacy and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The foreign minister also noted that advancing the political track would support early recovery efforts and pave the way for reconstruction, contributing to long-term stability and improved living conditions for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Egypt, he said, remains committed to playing an active role in regional and international efforts aimed at ending the crisis and achieving a fair and lasting peace.
