Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call on Thursday with Sudan’s newly appointed Foreign Minister, Omar Siddiq, to congratulate him on assuming his new post and to discuss bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.
During the phone call, Abdelatty emphasized the deep-rooted and fraternal ties that bind the peoples of Egypt and Sudan, affirming Egypt’s full support for Sudan’s security, stability, unity, and territorial integrity.
He also expressed Egypt’s solidarity with Sudan during this critical period and its commitment to engaging with regional and international efforts aimed at ending the suffering of the Sudanese people.
For his part, the new Sudanese Foreign Minister expressed his sincere appreciation for the timely gesture, voicing his deep gratitude for the strong bilateral ties and Egypt’s continued efforts in supporting Sudan.
Both ministers agreed to intensify communication and coordination in the coming period.
