At the start of his visit to Brussels, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, met with Wim Dehon, General Manager of Power Interconnection Projects at a Belgian company, on Sunday.
Abdelatty praised the ongoing collaboration with the Belgian company, which has contributed to various projects in Egypt and signed a memorandum of understanding on exporting renewable energy from Egypt to Europe.
He welcomed the company's interest in participating in the implementation of the GREGY electricity interconnection project between Egypt and Greece.
Abdelatty also emphasized Egypt's strong commitment to green transformation through the implementation of a national hydrogen strategy and the creation of a conducive investment environment in this field.
Moreover, FM highlighted Egypt's investment incentives and competitive business advantages.
He outlined key policies implemented under Egypt's economic reform plan, underscoring the government’s focus on empowering the private sector and attracting foreign direct investments.
In addition, Abdelatty affirmed the state’s commitment to supporting foreign companies operating in Egypt and resolving any challenges they may face, expressing hope for enhanced investments from the Belgian company in Egypt.
