The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Saudi Arabia has warned of potential floods in parts of the Kingdom. The Directorate announced a thunderstorm expected in several regions, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, and continuing until next Friday. It urged everyone to take precautions and follow safety instructions.

The Directorate emphasized the importance of staying in safe locations, avoiding areas prone to flooding and valleys, and refraining from swimming in them. It also stressed the need to adhere to warnings issued through media outlets and social media platforms.

According to the Saudi newspaper Sabq, the Directorate explained that the Makkah region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods and hail, in addition to dust storms. This weather pattern includes Makkah, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Bahrah, Rabigh, Taif, Maysan, Adham, and Al-Ardiyat. Light to moderate rain is expected in Jeddah, Khulais, Al-Lith, and Al-Qunfudhah.

She also indicated that the regions of Tabuk, Madinah, Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, Hail, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan will also be affected by moderate to heavy rains, accompanied by flash floods, hail, and active winds that stir up dust and sand.
