The Syrian Arab Airlines has announced the resumption of flights between Damascus International Airport and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, starting November 7.

This marks a significant development after an eight-year suspension of regular air travel between the two cities.

According to the airline’s statement, flights will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, catering to the needs of the Syrian community in Saudi Arabia and enhancing transport and communication between the two nations.

Hatem Kabas, the General Director of the Syrian Arab Airlines, encouraged those interested in booking tickets to contact the airline's offices directly.

He noted that the regular operation of flights between Damascus and Jeddah was halted on May 8, 2016, due to the geopolitical situation in the region.
