The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that a heatwave will begin sweeping across Egypt for five days as of Friday.
Hot weather will prevail during the day nationwide, while South Upper Egypt and South Sinai experience scorching weather.
Dusty winds will be active occasionally in the far west of the country.
It is also predicted there will be disruption of maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, with winds averaging 30 to 40 km/h and waves ranging between 1.5 to 2.5 meters.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height with southeast surface winds.
Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.
Moreover, most parts of the country will experience moderate weather at nighttime. Moderately hot weather is also predicted to prevail in South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 34°C in Cairo, 34°C in Alexandria, 36°C in Marsa Matruh, 39°C in Sohag, 40°C in Qena, and 39°C in Aswan.
