The Ministry of Environmental Protection said in a statement that a fire broke out at one of the oil refinery facilities in Bazan in Haifa on Friday evening.
The fire occurred due to a damage of one of the pipes in the facility. Following the outbreak of the fire, the factory emergency team began working to extinguish the fire, before the flames turn to other facilities.
Meantime, the plant has stopped supplying fuel to the facility and gas turned into flame, a system designed to deal with such accidents.
