Egyptian actor Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz shared Sunday a new trailer for his upcoming film "Shalaby".

It also stars Ruby, Bayoumi Fouad, Suleiman Eid, Hatem Salah, and others.

"Shalaby" is written by Mostafa Hamdy and directed by Peter Mimi.

The project is a romance and comedy that will feature musical numbers.

"Shalaby" sees Ruby as an owner of a hotel and Abdel Aziz as an employee at an amusement park.

The film follows the pair as they meet and fall while experiencing many surprising and comedic events.

The project marks the third collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Mimi after 2019's film "Mousa" and 2022's film "For Zeko".

The makers of the film allocated 5% of Shalabi's revenues to the benefit of Egypt’s biggest children's cancer hospital 57357, which mainly relies on donations.

The hospital is fighting for survival as the country braces up to face the consequences of another possible devaluation of the Egyptian pound and fights to reduce the impact of the global economic crisis.

"Shalaby" is set to be released in theatres on January 4, 2023.

On the other hand, Abdel Aziz began production on season two of the horror-comedy TV series “El Bait Baity”.

It also stars Mostafa Khater, Samy Maghawry, Mirna Gamil, Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Mai Elkady, and others.

Khaled Marei was directed from a script by Ahmed Abdel Wahab and Karim Sami.

The series witnesses the first collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Khater.

“El Bait Baity” followed a reckless youth inheriting his father’s mansion which caused his life to take an unexpected turn. He soon meets a taxi driver who gets tangled in his chaotic life.

Season one consisted of 10 episodes and debuted on the Shahid VIP platform on May 26.

In June, the series has been renewed for a second season.
