Intense fighting has erupted in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil as Israeli forces expand their ground offensive amid continued exchanges of fire with Hezbollah, according to field reports.
Israeli troops are reportedly pushing deeper into southern Lebanon, with Bint Jbeil emerging as a key focal point of confrontation in the ongoing escalation.
Direct, close-range clashes have taken place in recent hours between advancing Israeli units and Hezbollah fighters, with engagements reported at very short distances in some of the most intense fighting so far.
Hezbollah has continued to target Israeli ground forces inside Lebanese territory, striking tanks, bulldozers, and troop concentrations as Israeli units press repeated attempts to advance.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched a heavy barrage of rockets toward northern Israeli settlements, including Kiryat Shmona, Metula, and Misgav Am. The escalation coincided with sustained Israeli airstrikes on multiple towns across southern Lebanon’s various sectors.
The rising intensity of ground confrontations, combined with ongoing aerial strikes and cross-border rocket fire, underscores a sharp escalation along the Lebanese-Israeli frontier, with both sides significantly expanding the scope of military operations in recent hours.
