In support of the government's efforts to provide electronic payment methods and to make it easier for citizens, the Ministry of Education announced the process of paying school fees electronically through Fawry network, which succeeded in receiving more than one million payments from one million students within few days of activating the service.
Dr. Mohamed Omar, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education for Teachers' Affairs, stated that: "The partnership with Fawry aims in facilitating life for students and parents; the company offers the easiest payment methods and allows payments 24 hours a day and seven days a week, which suits all citizens avoiding the waste of time and queuing for hours.
Fawry is available at every street in all of Egypt governorates."
He added that the selection of Fawry was due to the persity of its service and payment methods as it allows parents and students to pay fees in more than 105 thousand outlets; and through all bank wallets, mobile phone companies and "MyFawry" application, meaning the suitability of payment methods for everyone.
He concluded, the payment through Fawry is available to more than 20 million students in 50,000 schools.
On his part, Mohamed Okasha, Managing Director of Fawry, confirmed that the partnership with the Ministry of Education in providing the school fees collection service succeeded in making the Egyptian citizen life easier. It came as a continuation of Fawry's plan which started years ago to provide all government services electronically and support the government's plans to support financial inclusion.
