Faid Mustafa, assistant secretary-general of the Arab League and head of its Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Department, met with Talal Al-Mutairi, Kuwait’s permanent representative to the league, to discuss regional developments, with a focus on the Palestinian issue.
The talks reviewed the severe humanitarian and political conditions facing Palestinians following nearly two years of wide-scale hostilities in Gaza, which have caused extensive destruction, heavy civilian casualties and an unprecedented deterioration in living conditions.
The two diplomats also exchanged views on key political files of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of enhanced Arab coordination on critical regional issues.
The meeting stressed strengthening cooperation between Kuwait’s mission and the Arab League’s Palestine department to support joint Arab efforts on the Palestinian cause.
