The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot to extremely hot, humid weather will prevail across the country during Thursday’s daylight hours.

The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will increase the heat index by 2-4 degrees.

The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads in West Cairo, North Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, Canal Cities, and Central Sinai.

Wind will occur occasionally across the country.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves ranging between 1.75 and 2.25 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.

The Red Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.

There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the coasts of El Salloum, Marsa Matruh, El Alamein, and Alexandria with wind speed reaching 40 to 50 km/hr and wave height ranging from 2 to 3 meters.

Moderately hot and humid weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 37°C in Cairo, 32°C in Alexandria, 30°C in Marsa Matruh, 40°C in Sohag, 41°C in Qena, and 42°C in Aswan.
