European Union Foreign Policy Commissioner Joseph Borrell said that Israeli evacuation orders for civilians in Palestinian Rafah portend the worst and more war and famine is unacceptable.
On Monday, the Israeli occupation army called on residents of areas east of Palestinian Rafah, in the far south of Gaza, to “immediately evacuate” and head towards the center of the Strip, in light of the threat of launching a ground attack on the densely populated city.
In a statement, the occupation army called on "all residents and displaced persons present in the Al-Shoka municipality area and the neighborhoods of Al-Salam Al-Jeneina, Tabbat Ziraa and Al-Byouk in the Rafah area, to immediately evacuate to the expanded humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi."
An Israeli radio station reported this morning that the occupation army began evacuating civilians from Palestinian Rafah.
