European Parliament President Roberta Metsola affirmed that Egypt is a major partner in the Mediterranean region and a key player in fostering dialogue in the area.
In a post on her official account on the "X" platform upon her arrival in Cairo on Wednesday evening, Metsola stated: "We are keen to strengthen EU-Egypt relations and to reaffirm the European Parliament's message that we will play our part in addressing shared challenges."
