Commenting on the Egyptian Foreign Minister's visit to several countries in the region, The Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, Angelina Eichhorst, said that the EU values Egypt's pivotal role as a cornerstone of stability in the Middle East, within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership.
She added that the principle of the territorial integrity and political independence of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Jordan enjoys strong support within the European Union and internationally.
"The European Union will continue its diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and achieve a lasting solution for peace and stability in the Middle East region as a whole," she stressed.
