EU Commission President Arrives in Egypt

Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, arrived at El Arish International Airport today as part of her ongoing visit to Egypt.

During her visit, she met with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The meeting between the Egyptian President and the President of the European Commission focused on ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and the European Union, given the strong ties that bind the two parties.

They agreed to continue working towards strengthening these relations and expanding them into broader horizons across various domains.

Both sides emphasized that the only solution to the Palestinian issue lies in achieving comprehensive and just peace based on the two-state solution, in accordance with internationally recognized references.
