ETA, Luxury Tour Discuss Promoting Egyptian Destinations in Europe

The Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA) held on Saturday a meeting with Director-General of Luxury Tour Group Abo Alzein Abdallah to exchange views of promoting Egyptian tourist destinations in Europe.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Central Department for International Tourism Maged Abu Sidira.

In press statements, Abdallah said he agreed with ETA on promoting Egyptian destinations in a number of the European Union countries, pointing out to supporting the Egyptian tourism sector in the international events in Europe to shed light on Egypt as a preferred tourist destination for European travelers.

"ETA recommended dealing with the Egyptian tour companies, licensed and supervised by the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry for more credibility," Abdallah noted.

The director-general of the Dutch company asserted that the coming period would witness joint promotion with ETA to make Egypt as a recommended destination by Europe.

He mentioned that the ministry would offer all forms of support to boost cooperation and render the plan successful, saying he will use his accounts on social media platforms for promoting Egyptian destinations.

He also suggested opening a Dutch tourist company in Egypt, under the Egyptian law, to help in overcoming the current challenges, which the industry faces.

Meanwhile, Abu Sidira affirmed the importance of the Egyptian tourism market's potentials, pointing to the Egyptian hotels' hotels' commitment to the precautionary measures.

He urged potential tourists to deal with the Egyptian tour agencies and the national carrier to operate direct flights between the Netherlands and Egyptian tourist destinations.
