Six new ministers in Kuwait’s government were sworn in on Monday before the Emir of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during an official ceremony held at Bayan Palace, according to Al-Qabas newspaper.
The Crown Prince, Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and senior state officials attended the oath-taking ceremony. Kuwait’s Prime Minister Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah formally presented the newly appointed ministers to the Emir.
The ministers who took the constitutional oath were Jareer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Reem Ghazi Saud Al-Fulaij, Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs; and Tareq Hamad Nasser Al-Jalahma, Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs.
They were joined by Abdulaziz Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq as Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment; Yaqoub Yousef Al-Sayed Al-Hashim Al-Rifai as Minister of Finance; and Osama Khaled Abdullah Al-Budai as Minister of Commerce and Industry.
The ceremony was also attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, as well as the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, alongside senior officials from the Amiri Diwan.
