President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized Egypt's commitment to building, development, and reconstruction during his speech at the 8th edition of the Egypt International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (EGYPS 2025).
He highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in fostering stability and growth.
El-Sisi expressed his deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia's continued support amid the challenges facing the region. “I welcome you all and extend my gratitude to my brother and our brothers in Saudi Arabia for their tremendous support during these difficult times. I also thank Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, the Saudi Energy Minister, for his inspiring words,” he said.
During the conference’s opening session, El-Sisi announced that Egypt would sign agreements with Cyprus to enhance joint cooperation in the “Aphrodite” and “Kronos” gas fields. He noted that this step reflects Egypt’s commitment to strengthening regional partnerships for the benefit of all nations involved.
“We in Egypt are always working towards reconstruction and development, steering clear of any distractions that could hinder our progress towards the future,” El-Sisi affirmed.
EGYPS 2025 is one of the Middle East and North Africa’s premier energy events, bringing together industry leaders and experts to discuss the future of energy and promote regional and international collaboration in the sector.
