Mohamed El-Shenawy, captain of Al-Ahly, expressed his happiness after his team won the African Champions League title for the 12th time in its history, after defeating Esperance of Tunisia with a clean goal.

He added: "We were playing with a respectable team, and we wanted to achieve a positive result before playing the return match at our home stadium, Cairo Stadium, because everyone knows the value of playing at Cairo Stadium, and I say to the entire Al-Ahly system, congratulations on the important championship."
Regarding his statements regarding the attack on the Egyptian press, he said: “We were under pressure from the public, the media, and the players, and there was a state of confusion about the rumors being raised about the team and the players before playing an important match, and this was my response, and I did not mean to respond to a specific person, so I responded to a question.” Journalist.
He continued: "I respect everyone and the press, and first and foremost I defend my team and lift the pressure on my colleagues. The players must be at the top of their focus, especially since we have locked ourselves down, and the team entered a closed camp two days before the match."
El-Shenawy concluded his statements by saying: “The players are watching what is being said on social media, so I was complaining about these sayings. Everyone has endured a lot of pressure, and we are thinking about what is coming.”
