Egypt's new head coach Hossam El Badry decided on Monday to cancel today's training session for the Egyptian national team, avoiding exhaust.

The Pharaohs are set to begin their first camp under the leadership of El Badry on Monday, as they are scheduled to play against Botswana on October 14 as a part of the seven-time African Champions' preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Egyptian new head coach decided to cancel the training session, getting the players some rest and avoiding exhaust.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was ruled out of the Pharaohs' preparatory camp to get some rest, before suffering an injury during the Reds' 2-1 victory Leicester City.

Mo Salah suffered a serious injury and replaced by Adam Lallana during Saturday's Premier League encounter after he was hacked down by Hamza Choudhury.

The scan, which undertaken Salah, has revealed on Monday that the Egyptian international has suffered no major injury to his ankle.

El Badry was appointed as new coach succeeding the former coach Javier Aguirre, who was sacked after the Pharaohs’ shocking exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation, held in Egypt.

The Pharaohs' 23-man squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Awad, Mohamed El Shenawy, Mohamed Bassam

Defenders: Ragab Bakkar, Ahmed Fathy, Mahmoud Alaa, Baher El Mohamady, Ahmed Hegazy, Ayman Ashraf, Abdallah Gomaa, Mohamed Hamdy Sharaf

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Amr El Solia, Hamdi Fathi, Abdallah Said, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha,” Hussein El Shahat, Omar Gaber, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed El Neny

Forwards: Hossam Hassan, Omar El Said, Ahmed Hassan “Koka”
