New studies show that Egypt's tourism sector is on track to recover as the numbers of international tourists are on a steady increase.

The new statistics from the Central Bank said that Egypt's tourism revenues boost by 43.5 percent to a record high of 4.1 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022-2023.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) has said that Fitch Solutions expects an increase in the number of tourists coming to Egypt in the medium term due to a predicted decrease in the effects of COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war.

According to an infographic recently issued on the tourism market outlook in Egypt, the international economic institution expects the number of tourists who will visit Egypt in 2023 to reach 11.6 million by 46%.

It said that Egypt enjoys a distinguished geographic location in addition to different types of tourism.

Moreover, the world's largest travel guidance platform Tripadvisor mentioned a number of Egyptian cities among the best world tourist destinations, with Hurghada on the top of the list of the best cities in the Middle East and North Africa.

It's worth mentioning that Egypt saw almost 5 million visitors at the start of 2022, which was an 85% growth compared to last year, proving that more and more travelers are considering Egypt as their travel destination.
