Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli visited the Downtown Towers project in New Alamein on Saturday, accompanied by Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny and other officials.

The Premier received a briefing from the Housing Minister while standing atop the 66th floor of the iconic tower, which at 250 meters is the tallest along the Mediterranean. It is the centerpiece of the downtown tower cluster, which includes four additional towers, each 200 meters high. The full project offers 2,631 residential units, 231 commercial units, and 114 administrative units.

The Premier was updated on the construction progress and infrastructure surrounding the towers, including crystal lagoon lakes covering 108 feddans. These lagoons feature artificial islands with leisure, tourism, and retail facilities.

The Downtown project covers nearly 34 feddans and includes 40 residential buildings with 1,320 apartments ranging from 90 to 300 square meters, along with 75,442 square meters of commercial space, storage facilities, and parking for 2,830 vehicles.

The Housing Minister reported that 705 residential units and 13 commercial units have already been delivered, with more to follow.

The Premier also reviewed the expansion of the Downtown area, which spans 21.65 feddans and includes 24 buildings offering 896 units. Construction progress on this phase has exceeded 85%.

He was also briefed on the progress of infrastructure works at the Chinese Towers zone and the overpass project at the C19 road and railway intersection in southern Alamein.
