Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed the latest progress in the implementation of the Ras El Hekma development project during a high-level meeting held on Tuesday, as the government pushes ahead with what it describes as a major new growth hub on the North Coast.

The meeting was attended by Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy, alongside senior Emirati and Egyptian officials, including Jassem Al-Zaabi, Managing Director and CEO of Al Emad Holding, and representatives from Modon Holding.

Madbouly welcomed the participating companies and stressed the government’s commitment to closely monitoring implementation timelines to ensure the project proceeds according to schedule. He described Ras El Hekma as a promising new development nucleus on Egypt’s North Coast.

For his part, Al-Zaabi presented an update on ongoing infrastructure works, noting that thousands of workers are currently operating across multiple construction sites. He also outlined progress in various project components, including the industrial zone, hotel developments and service facilities.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the project’s master plan, highlighting designated built-up areas for residential use, hotel rooms, commercial districts, restaurants and entertainment activities. They also discussed opportunities to capitalise on the region’s strong tourism and investment potential.

The Ras El Hekma project is one of Egypt’s flagship coastal developments and forms part of broader efforts to attract foreign investment, expand tourism capacity and create integrated urban communities along the Mediterranean coast.
