Egypt's PM Inaugurates New Steel Manufacturing Facility

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the factory of Galva Engineering Industries in 6th of October City as part of a wider tour to inspect and open many industrial and production facilities.

The visit came after the prime minister began an earlier industrial tour in Sadat City in Monufia Governorate, accompanied by Industry Minister Khaled Hashem and senior local officials.

Upon arriving at the Galva Engineering Industries factory, Madbouly was received by Giza Governor Ahmed El-Ansary and Engineer Ayman El-Eshry, Chairman of El-Eshry Steel Group.

During the inauguration, the prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the role of the private sector and increasing its contribution to Egypt’s economic and development activities.

Madbouly stressed that the government continues efforts to localize advanced industries and modern technologies, particularly in the iron and steel sector, which he described as one of Egypt’s most promising industrial sectors due to the diversity of its products and its role in supporting national development projects.

He noted that expanding domestic steel manufacturing would help meet local market needs, support infrastructure and development projects across the country, and create additional export opportunities in international markets.
