Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inaugurated several development projects today at West Port Said Port, including the opening of the New Horizon factory and a number of newly constructed grain silos.

As part of his broader visit to the East Port Said Integrated Zone, the Prime Minister also inspected the Egyptian National Company for Railroad Industries (NERIC) factory. He was received by board members Eng. Karim Sami Saad and Dr. Ahmed Fikry Abdel Wahab.

Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized the strategic importance of this promising project, which plays a vital role in localizing one of the most crucial sectors in transportation. He noted that the development of the railway industry aligns with Egypt’s broader goals of achieving comprehensive development by enabling effective connectivity across regions through sustainable and modern transportation systems that facilitate the movement of people and goods.

During the tour, NERIC’s Managing Director, Eng. Ahmed El-Mofti, delivered a detailed presentation on the project's progress, highlighting various stages of production inside the facility. He also outlined the company’s strategy for localizing railway manufacturing in Egypt, which is central to reducing import reliance and building industrial self-sufficiency in this critical field.
