Egypt’s ambassador to Malawi, H.E. Mohamed Al-Sharif said that the Egyptian national team concluded its training in preparation for the upcoming match against the Ethiopian team, which will be held at 6 pm today, Thursday, in the second round of the African Nations Cup qualifiers (AFCON).

In a phone call with Sada El Balad's ‘El-Matsh’ program presented by renowned sports TV anchor Hany Hathout, H.E. Al-Sharif revealed that despite Mohamed Salah's absences, a large crowd of Malawi people expected to attend the Thursday's match, noting that the national team is ready to win and get the three points.

“All of us here in Malawi are optimistic to see the national team at the upcoming AFCON.”

At the end of his phone call, the Egyptian envoy said that the Malawi fans are very sad that they will not see Mo Salah playing with his team today.
