Egypt's Min. of Social Solidarity Honors UNICEF's Docudrama"Ahl Al-Hatah"

Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity held on Tuesday a ceremony honoring outstanding dramas in addressing social issues.

Among the honored was the documentary drama "Ahl Al-Hatah" produced by UNICEF Egypt in cooperation with Al-Azhar and the Coptic Church.

"Ahl Al-Hatah" tackles a number of humanitarian issues, such female circumcision, forced marriage, domestic violence, deprivation of education, addiction, sexual extortion, and other social problems that appear in the structure of our society.

This docudrama also is devoting to some of concepts, correcting misconceptions, and forming a societal awareness that will be a major pillar in building the new republic.

It features a number of experts and specialists in religion, medicine, psychology and sociology, alongside number of young actors.

Yesterday's ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking officials and celebrities, including Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine El-Qabbage, UNICEF representatives in Egypt, renowned actress Lebleba.
