Dr. Heba El-Haddidi, Head of Business Development at the General Authority for Healthcare, said that Egypt’s medical tourism initiative “Egypt We Care” represents an advanced model that reflects the true capacity of the Egyptian healthcare system to compete globally.

In televised remarks, El-Haddidi noted that videos shared by foreign patients of various nationalities in recent months highlight strong international praise for the quality of medical services in Egypt. She said many patients chose to travel to Egypt for treatment after facing long waiting periods—sometimes exceeding a year—in their home countries.

El-Haddidi explained that the initiative offers a fully integrated medical journey that goes beyond medical procedures to include comprehensive humanitarian care, starting from the patient’s arrival until the completion of treatment.

She added that “Egypt We Care” relies on specialized medical and administrative teams, including international patient departments that operate in multiple languages. This approach, she said, helps overcome cultural and language barriers while building trust and reassurance through clear explanations of treatment plans, appointments, and accompanying services.

El-Haddidi stressed that the project’s global competitiveness is based on combining high medical quality standards with carefully structured, competitive pricing. She emphasized that the goal is not to offer the cheapest service, but rather the best value for cost and efficiency.
