Egypt is looking to pick up a crucial victory today in their quest for the African Cup of Nations qualification safety, despite their long odds to do so.

The National Team coach Hossam Elbadry will be hoping that his side can continue that improved form on their return to competitive action today at 6 pm, as they look to confirm their qualification for the African Cup of Nations.

According to ON TV reporter, Egypt's attack will be led by Liverpool's star Mohamed Salah, who has 43 international goals in 68 appearances, while also netting 17 Premier League goals so far this session.

In the same context, Salah will be supported by the wide threat of Aston Villa's winger Trezeguet, who has struggled for minutes in an improved Aston Villa side this season but remains a real threat going forward.

Elbadry has made two surprise choices in the left-back roles. Abdalla Gomma on the left while Hanay keeps his spot on the right. Ashraf is on the bench.

Meanwhile, the defence will be shielded by Arsenal player Mohamed Elneny, who will be handed his 80th Egypt cap Wednesday evening.

Egypt possible starting lineup:

El Shenawy; Elwensh, Hegazi, Hanay, Gomma; Trezeguet, Elneny, Hamed, Afsha and Mostafa.

The attacking firepower of Salah, supported by the likes of Trezeguet and Mostafa Mohamed, should fire them to a comfortable victory over Kenya.

It's worth noting that the Pharaohs strengthened their qualification bid in November, as they defeated Togo in consecutive games.
