The monthly change rate in the general urban consumer price index (CPI), announced Thursday by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), recorded 1.6% in March 2025, compared to 1.0% in March 2024 and 1.4% in February 2025.
On an annual basis, the general urban inflation rate recorded 13.6% in March 2025, compared to 12.8% in February 2025.
The monthly change rate in the core consumer price index, compiled by the Central Bank of Egypt, recorded 0.9% in March 2025, compared to 1.4% in March 2024 and 1.6% in February 2025.
On an annual basis, the core inflation rate recorded 9.4% in March 2025, compared to 10.0% in February 2025.
