Egypt's FM Leads Efforts in Strengthening Egyptian-Omani Economic Ties in Business Forum

Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration Badr Abdel Aty took  part on Monday, January 6, in the Egyptian-Omani Businessmen Forum held in Muscat in the presence of Qais Al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and a group of businessmen and representatives of major Egyptian and Omani companies.

In his remarks, Abdel Aty emphasized the deep fraternal relations and historical ties between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman affirming that the Egyptian leadership places great importance on strengthening these relations and elevating them to broader horizons. 

He pointed out the importance of joint work to enhance economic cooperation and expand the volume of joint investments to achieve the interests of both countries. The minister also showcased the most prominent measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment environment and the national investment strategy for 2024-2030.

He highlighted the ongoing efforts to develop Egyptian infrastructure, including the construction of smart cities and the development of the transportation and port systems shedding light on the promising investment opportunities in Egypt.

He also emphasized the support provided by the Egyptian government through tax incentives and customs exemptions to encourage investors and facilitate the business environment.

Abdel Aty stressed the importance of the Egyptian-Omani Business Forum as a platform to drive economic cooperation between the two countries inviting Omani businessmen to make use of investment opportunities in Egypt and participate in the ambitious development projects led by the Egyptian state. 

He expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by the private sector in driving and enhancing bilateral relations and developing trade and investment exchanges between the two countries.
