Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Badr Abdelatty, attended the Christmas Mass at the Egyptian Orthodox Church in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Monday evening. The event was part of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During his address at the service, Minister Abdelatty conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to members of the Coptic community on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
The minister emphasized Egypt’s long-standing tradition of unity and harmony among its citizens, both within the country and abroad. “Egypt has always been and will remain a model of coexistence and love among its people,” Abdelatty stated. He also expressed deep appreciation for the vital role played by the Egyptian Orthodox Church in Oman, in both Muscat and Salalah, in collaboration with the Egyptian Embassy, in serving and supporting the Egyptian community.
The Christmas Mass was attended by a large number of Egyptian expatriates living in Oman. Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Egyptians abroad. He highlighted the importance of maintaining robust communication with Egyptian communities worldwide to provide them with necessary support and assistance.
